Why practicing silence help to know yourself

in #silence4 years ago

You get in your car and start listening to the radio. Switch on the television when you get home. While showering or doing the dishes, you listen to music on your phone. Fear of silence is natural, and many people demonstrate it on a daily basis. Some people are frightened by the lack of sound. If you're one of them, be aware that your fears can cause you to miss out on important opportunities. If you understood the importance of silence, you may reconsider your habit of avoiding it at all costs.

When was the last time you listened to nothing but silence? Can you remember a time when there was a complete lack of external and internal sound? It is almost difficult to achieve and sustain for the majority of citizens. Not only that, but many people consider it to be dangerous and distasteful.

You may have observed this tendency in yourself and others already. It is simple to detect once you are aware of it. The majority of us see signs on a daily basis.

We are surrounded by devices that provide us with visual and auditory stimulation. Not only when we have a spare moment and need to pass the time. We still use them in almost every aspect of our everyday lives. When we clean, cook, or exercise, we are surrounded by external sounds.

When you spend time with your coworkers, relatives, or friends, the same thing happens. And if you just run into a neighbour in the elevator, you're probably more likely to engage in a mundane conversation than to remain silent. Despite the fact that none of you have anything important to say most of the time, you will try to fill the terrifying silence with words.

It could be much more difficult to quiet the inner voice if escaping external sounds is difficult. Do you ever lie in bed in the middle of the night, your mind racing with memories from the past and future? This is yet another method for avoiding the present's silence.

Silence is terrifying because it requires one to be in touch with oneself. You avoid silence because you don't want to be alone. It's a fear of being alone with the side of yourself you're trying to hide, with all the fear and pain you're trying to avoid. Hearing your own voice urging you to make a noise outside is terrifying.

You have no idea who you are and you are never really alone. You don't know who you are and are scared to find out. When silence falls, it brings with it all the gloom and shadows you'd rather not contemplate. And if you have anxiety, depression, emptiness, and frustration that rises to the surface when it becomes quiet are all aspects of you.

Silence will assist you in connecting with your fears and desires. It enables you to get to know yourself, heal yourself, and return to yourself. Silence allows you to explore new desires and opinions while also restoring your power and inner voice. Learning yourself, respecting yourself, enjoying yourself, and knowing how to be with yourself are all important skills.

Only you have the power to fill the voids in your life, heal your wounds, and conquer your fears. Only you have the ability to work for your hopes and objectives. So, why are you so scared of being alone? Allow the silence to take its course!
