How I lost but win

Every time I see a shattered glass, I always remember the sin that I committed when I was a young boy.

It was late afternoon, when our place was so silent. So I wandered around, seeing my grandma's sugarcane and look if its mature to eat. But my lola suddenly call a cry to cast out a young goat, who was found eating my grandma's herbs and plants, and she called for me to scare it and make it go away.

I'm so naive that time, and I tried to shout so loud , and tried to find anything hard to throw something. I found a stone, I throw it , but I never hit it when it was running so fast. Alas! I aimed poorly, and it when to broke my uncle's sidemirror.

It was a big fuss. My parents got mad at me, so do my uncle. I was held so responsible. I never had ask for forgiveness. Maybe its the reason why I'm shy when facing my uncle and my cousins.

What should I have done instead of being shy and awkward?

First, never I think of it as big deal. The more that I think that I committed a sin the more my head will be messier.

Second, stop what ifs. The more you're recreating situations in your mind, alternatives, or choices you should have done, the more that you'll feel sorry about it.

Third, no matter what small or big it is,first of all forgive yourself. Then ask those whom you offended for forgiveness. And ask gently and humbly the things that you'll do inorder to solve the problem.

Fourth, never think of it as a punishment from God, rather think of it as an opportunity to arm yourself with precautions and alertness of handling things. No matter how valuable or how expensive or cheap it is, move on and or it will ruin you if you'll blame yourself too much. Your self-steam will degrade if it will drag along.

And lastly, learn. After all, what makes people beautiful is when they succeeded on life challenged by failures and not when life was easy and no problems.

No matter how dark life is, no matter how crippled you are by problems, no matter how careless you become, always remember that you will only feel the true success when you solve a problem. And knowledge comes after and not before a problem.

Given a problem, focus on the good sides that will make you continue and not the bad sides.

Like this picture, instead of looking at the silhouette, try to look at the sun - or at the brighter side, rather than being crippled by the darkness. Ask forgiveness, and submit to those of who you have offended. Never let it get to the point that you'll get separated from your love ones because of a sin. Blood is much stronger than that!

This photo was taken a long time ago. I created a quote along side of it because I find that it relates somehow in my experience.
