Got ripped off buying silver in UAE

So I am at the Lulu mall in Fujairah, UAE. Where there are lots of jewelry shops and watch stores... I stoped into the Silver Exchange store. There I saw a few 1/10oz and a single 1 oz bar from Emirates Gold. Of course I asked how much, and the fine young man at the counter told me 150 Dirham... so I take out my phone to check the conversion rate. Its more than 40 USD!
Ok I tell him, the spot price of silver is a little over 16 USD , thats about 60 dirham, I told him. I'll give you 75 (about 20 USD). Well he looked at me like I was from another planet; and he said sorry sir, the price is 150 Dirham.
So I gave him 150 Dirham ... because I wanted Emirati Silver.
I know I got ripped off, but I don't care. You ever do that?
