Butterfly
Hi friends,
I wanted to share an item from my precious metals stack and let you know why I am a holder. Today’s edition: a butterfly round:
This appears to be a China World Wildlife Series round, and I think it is only silver plated. I probably overpaid for this at a coin show as it was priced as a generic silver round, but I do not believe it 999 fine. It looks cool, but it goes to show you should do your research - I may have paid $25 for a $5 piece, lol.
I could be wrong and maybe it is worth $100…. Not even sure what I have here.

This design is new for me, I like the colors of the mariposa, it looks very pretty, it gives a detail of sophistication to the coin
