Afternoon everyone……

Today will be my eighth installment of the “Stackers Twelve Days of Christmas”.

In case you are new to this or maybe want to join in on the festivities. Here is how it works….

Each day you post a gift that you would like to receive for Christmas. It needs to be precious metal related to qualify. The items can be something you’d like from our silvergoldstackers Secret Santa. Or they could also be something that you really truly wish was a possible gift.

So……

They say go big or go home….. so on the eighth day of Christmas. I’d like a mint state $3 gold coin. These are quite hard to obtain without paying a pretty penny. Mint state versions start at around what an ounce of pure gold goes for and just goes higher.

But if you asked me what I’d rather have. It would be this coin instead of the ounce. Why? Because these coins appreciate in value much quicker than the spot price going up. Plus it’s a piece of history.
