Sell…

Afternoon everyone….

Today I’m going to share with you a very recent sale I made on a few semi numismatic coins that I decided to flip.

Why did I decide to flip them???

I’ve been collecting for decades now. I’ve also been collecting many series for decades as well.

I made a decision a little over a year ago that I was done collecting never ending series semi numismatic coins. While I know the designs change, the series continues. Such are the Perth Mint kookaburra, koala, and lunar series. The Somalia elephant series. Any mints lunar series. And this one the Rwanda African Ounce Wildlife series.

I have already sold off the kookaburras, koalas, and two lunar series. I have not come across my Somalia elephants yet. But I just recently had a box from my private security place that contained these Rwanda coins. While I really like them, if I’m not around to tell someone what they are worth, my daughter will get robbed selling them when I’m gone.

I’d rather turn the coins into straight bullion.

I sold these three coins yesterday for a total of $660 plus shipping. I paid just under $150 for them. So that’s a really nice profit. I could’ve gotten $700, or even a little higher. But I knew they would sell quickly at these prices and it’s a fair price both ways.

I’ve shown one of these coins already. Here they are. Each coin has a mintage of just 5,000 coins.

They are the 2008 gorilla (first coin of the series). The 2009 elephant, and the 2010 lion.
