USA
I just got back home from a super long journey from Maryland... It started at 5am when I had to wake up to pack the rest of my things, eat somebody breakfast and finally get to the gas station where the bus was supposed to come.
The bus went from Easton, a beautiful city in Maryland, to Baltimore for about 1,5 hours, to then wait there for an hour to get on another bus for 3 hours to Philadelphia. There I had to wait for two hours because the bus was late. I was so stressed that I wouldn’t make it to the airport in Newark on time. But they told us the bus driver had to take a longer break because he’s just been on a very long trip from somewhere else. I was very scared, and tired and also worried that I still have to take another train from the bus station in Newark to the airport and I don’t understand New Jersey and New York’s trains and subway at all. When the bus drop us off at penn station in Newark at around 8pm I ran to the information stand and asked quickly from some directions. The guy there told me that the train for the airport leaves in one minute. I ran to the track like crazy, after buying the ticket, but of course the train just left in front of my face, when I got to the platform. I wasn’t late for the plane though. I managed to get there on time and I was so relieved when I sat down at my seat on the plane. Even though I had to spend there another 8 hours. I felt really great when we landed finally and got to the passport control. Everytime I’m going to USA those control make me so nervous, we have to stand in those long lines, they ask you a lot of questions and they can always deny you the entrance to the country, even though you came all this way to get there. And there’s also another line, shorter one, for American citizens. And when we landed in Chopin airport, i felt so different, this time I didn’t have to stand in this long line, I only followed the beautiful sign EU citizens. It sounds so proud to me, and made me feel so great, even though I know some people don’t appreciate it.
I still love America though! People are so nice there, everyone’s calling me “sweetie” all the time, you can make those small talks with everybody and nobody’s looking at you like you’re crazy! It’s always very funny for me though, how everything is different there. It seems that our culture and lifestyles are so similar but there’s so many differences! The plugs, the tap in the bathroom, those huge beds, heaters... and none of the people that I stayed with used a kettle! They had a lot of different ways of boiling the water, like in a microwave or some other machines, but seriously I still don’t understand how can you live without a kettle 😜
Anyway, thanks to all of my friends in America and my boyfriend, I had a great time, and here are some quick sketches of New York for the ending 😄 :
And some pictures 😆
Pollock in the background ❤️

Thank you!!! 💙💙💙
Welcome 💟💟
Wow those are some great sketches! I would love to visit EU one day to see the differences. I love experiencing different cultures. Next time you could consider visiting Las Vegas. It a little expensive but it's so much fun!
I’ve been there in the summer:) I actually like California more than NYC, especially San Francisco! Las Vegas isn’t definitely a lot of fun 😄😄
Cool sketches. :) We have our next image ready to be done! A recent sponsor of our competition.
He didn't request anything special like any special items or features or anything.. So.. I was thinking that maybe we could have part of the crystal castle be seen in the background?
There's also the sun sort of peeking through in this image, perhaps you could replicate that and have the sun shining down in the top right corner?
Thanks!! Super excited to see what you come up with. :D
Great! I’m excited too! First I’ll have to do two pictures for @kryptocek but it’s just the beginning of the semester so I have more time :D so I was thinking that since he’s the sponsor then maybe I could add something, like a hammer in his hand, like he build this castle because he’s the sponsor, or some books, or he could be in a suit like a businessman:D I don’t know, maybe you see it differently, just to add something special to the picture :D
Feel free to work on the one with with me and Jo over looking the farm last! This one and the special one are probably priority haha 😁
Hahha ok! I sent you the special one on instagram ;))
Okay. I have another one planned as well, and we're still waiting on a pic from kryptoceks sponsor of ats-david. So you have quite a few jobs it looks like! Glad to see it. :)
And yeah, you can add something if you want. I think the hammer or books are both a good idea.
I don't really know much about him. So.. I'm a lil hesitant to add too much especially since he didn't request anything.. I like your ideas.. A book would probably be better than a hammer. Though.. I think I'll leave this one up to you. If you want to add something, it's up to you. I don't think it'll be a big deal either way, I trust your judgement! Whatever you think looks good. :)
Thanks, I’ll work on it next, I should finish it this weekend :) I’m really grateful that you picked me to do all of this artwork for your contest!! ❤️
You're welcome! Thanks to you as well! Your artwork is like magic for this contest, it's perfect. :) I'm glad we can help each other! :D
Ok, here we go, I said I’ll do it this weekend and I did it! 😄😄 I’ll send it to your email too, right now :)
Haha the line ups are the worst part! They always seem so suspicious. I mean it is there job but it doesn't make it any easier haha!
Exactly! It’s making me very nervous! But still, traveling is the best! 😄
Couldn’t agree more! Traveling is great 😁 next stop Budapest
