1. Writing Skill

You do not have to be studying English language to need to learn how to write. Everything from your resume to office memos will be closely scrutinized for errors, so be sure you know how to communicate in written form.

In the professional world, there are certain informal statements that can put you in big trouble. The liberty you enjoy in the university when it comes to verbal communication isn't same in the corporate world. Learning to say that something "needs improvement" or has "opportunity for growth" and other white collar lingo can keep you from looking like an amateur.

1. Job Experience

A shiny academic career can make a good impression, but your future boss probably wouldn't want to be your first. Try getting a job, it doesn't really matter the type (as far as it is legal). Even if it is a minimum wage job, you will learn valuable skills you will need in a professional setting. Which brings us to:

Yea, there is job experience and there is 'relevant' job experience.
By relevant, we mean while studying, try getting job experience in the industry you would like to work in. Even unpaid internships can give you valuable experience as well as demonstrate how committed you are to your career.

Be sure to utilize all the tech you can while you can. Try learning the basics of Microsoft Office, web designing, graphic designing etc. These are required just about everywhere. Having a knowledge of computer security, HTML, and other tech practices can truly help you stand out.

You've probably spent lots of time on Google and other sites looking up tons of stuff for school. These principles can help you in any job. The internet is there for the taking, use it to ease your researches. Even if it is just how to fix a broken printer, having the right research at the right time can help you stand out.

1. Public speaking

You will have to do it eventually at some point in your career. Whether it is giving a presentation at work or being interviewed by a number of people, public speaking will come up more than you think it will, so grab this class or a related, such as debate or acting, to get the most out of your spare time.
It is really important that you get this skill, it makes you able to face a crowd/gathering, instills confidence in you.
