Best skin care strategies

It's been noted that we spend more on beauty products in the West than we do on education.

Why are we so obsessed? Because it's easier and more affordable than ever before.Anti-aging skincare technology has progressed leaps and bounds. We know more about the skin today than we ever did. There are advanced skincare products that can erase years, and of course, the plastic surgeon has perfected his trade such that procedures are easier and cheaper than ever before.

Take a long hard look at the people you consider attractive. Blonde, brunette or redhead, exotic or girl next door, sophisticated or down-to-earth - they all have one thing in common... a clear, healthy looking complexion.

There are a few people out there who have simply been blessed by the Dermatology Fairy, but just a few. Most of
the people who strike you as healthy-looking and, let's face it, lucky, are in fact dedicated to a good skin-care regime.

Well, let us come to the point straight away. Keeping your body hygienic assumes utmost importance in skin care regimen. Take bath twice in a day if your routine permits you. (Oh... I hate bathing in a tub as you will have to immerse your body in that dirty water till you get out of the tub. A shower is better). Use mild bath soap without caring for its fragrance. (Fragrances are by additional chemicals).

All acne sufferers should implement a skin-care routine alongside their acne treatment. The products you choose must be carefully selected to complement your treatment, particularly given that they can have a profound effect on the overall state of your acne. So many of today's acne products have harsh chemicals, which when combined with scrubbing or harsh toners, could make your acne worse.

Why is it then that men can get away with wrinkles but women cannot? Is there anything you can do about it? If you adopt a skin care program then this should help to affect how your skin looks and more importantly it will affect how you feel as well, and that is very important. You have to remember that the skin is the largest organ in your body and so by adopting a skincare program you are looking after yourself.

If celebrities know one thing, it is how to stay beautiful. Just imagine the pressure they must be under to always look their best. In the case of the A-list actors and actresses, they can barely leave their homes without being photographed. Those photos end up on the covers of every magazine in every supermarket checkout in America.

Men skin care products out in the market are so advanced that now you can shop for your product by skin type. Wait... mmm... Skin type? I barely know what blood type I am! Unlike women, we don't really bother to figure out what skin type we have. At first I used to just guess what skin type I had or buy a product that's for all skin types. But now that I've done my research, I figure I'll save you guy's the time and get down to the point. After all, this whole skin care thing shouldn't have to take up your time and none of us want to go around talking about men skin care products with the guy's during the football game commercial break.

Men skin care is a piece of cake. With some lotion and moisturizer you can improve the look and feel of your skin dramatically. There are tons of men skin care products on the market to choose from. Find a moisturizer with UV protection and vitamin E. A little tip, man skin care products that have retinol in their ingredients are great because retinol helps minimize fine lines and wrinkles.

A few tips on skin care and maintenance

  1. Ensure you cleanse your skin, especially your face twice a day, morning and night. Your face is always exposed to the environment. You have a shower everyday so why not clean your face properly. The amount of dirt and pollution it accumulates during the day is astonishing and half of it reaches your face the second you have left your front door in the morning!! Free radicals are hitting your face this very moment.

  2. Always apply a facial moisturizer after cleansing. A lot of people think if their face is oily they do not need a moisturizer, when in actual fact they do. Every skin produces oil and if you are not maintaining sebum (oil levels) your oil glands will actually over produce, resulting in an even oilier face. There are different types of facial moisturizers on the market that are specifically targeted at oily skins.
