SLC S21W5 / Crochet designs; cell phone case

Another week of learning chrochet is here and I was so ready for this week chrochet. It takes me 12 hours to make this crochet successfully and so I'm grateful I was able to do it.

I carefully watch the guide videos and decided to follow along to learn.

All the styles of stitches made are already been taught so it wasn't hard for me to understand but it needed much concentration as you won't get the shape properly if you missed any step or stitches.

Make the base of the lining, taking into account making an even chain, depending on the width you want. Support your activity with sequential photos or video. (2 points)

To make the base, I started with making a chain, I measured it with the width of my phone and decided to work on that with and length. I made 25 chains to begin the work and that's my phone size.

I made a chain then to form a base I made double chrochet. In addition to the width I choosed I added four chains to it and on the fourth stitch, I made three double crochet stitches in the same stitch to form my curve edge.

I continued with the double chrochet in all the stitch till the end of the chain then on the last stitch I added 6 double crochets in the same stitch to round the base. I continue making double crochet in each chain till the end.

When I get to the first point, where i knitted the first three double crochets, made 3 double crochets to make the rounding equal. Finally, I closed it with a slip stitch making the closure to be in the middle as seen in the image.

I made at least two rows with the sequence indicated in the video; knitting 5 double crochets in the same stitch, skipping two stitches and in the third a single crochet, and so on. (5 stitches)

After making the base, I went ahead and started the main design of the phone case.

So I followed the guid on the lecture note and made 3 double crochet on the same stitch, skipped two chains and made a single chrochet on the third stitch. Then skipped another two stitches and made five double crochet stitches in the third stitch I repeated this sequence to give a nice shape, I closed it with a slip stitch.

I continued with the sequence in the next row, 5 double crochet, skipped 2 stitch and on the 3 stitches I made a single chrochet and skipped another 2 stitches and continue with 5 double chrochet.

The phone case was finally ready and I fit in my phone It was actually my phone size. I was so happy that I achieved something so I went further by giving it a design.

I thought of a design to make and came up with this creativity.

Make a decoration on the front, a cord on the sides or a thin flap from back to front, any of those in crochet, use your creativity to personalize your cell phone case (2 points)

I chrochet a lying down stitch and ended it with a ring. So I can use it to cover my phone case then I thought of adding a little pocket to it from the design that I already made.

So I chrochet the cord from the back and made a knot so I can it can fit in the ring.

Finally I added the the side pockets so I can put my card, money etc.
