Did you know about this creature? And about its interesting meaning? If not, stay with me and I'll tell you later...
The Scarabaeus Sacer (sacred beetle) or also known as the baseball beetle, is a kind of insect coleoptera, inhabits swamps and coastal dunes of the Mediterranean basin, this is characterized by collecting dung balls that roll up its Underground nest and with the feed to their offspring and they breed, in its head it possesses a wide distinctive of six projections, which resembles the rays of the sun. But the most interesting thing about this animal is not just this.
For lovers of Egyptian culture this animal is very special, but to understand the fascination for this animal, we must go back to Ancient Egypt, the Beetle baseball was a sacred insect for the ancient Egyptians, for that culture, the fact That this creature could carry dung balls in the most difficult conditions of the desert and then bury them and then sprout their offspring, became an act of creation and emergence of life.
Also this animal was related to the movement of the sun and the cycles of life, when this, rolled the ball of excrement, reminding the sun rolling through the firmament, which is why, represents for them the cycle of the sun in the sky , which in fact, for the Egyptian culture, the Beetle also had a close relationship with the dawn and a connection with the Egyptian god "Khepri", this also known as "God of the Rising Sun" and finally that is why during that time, the Egyptians They carved in stone beetles to carry them as a protective amulet making it this way into a very sacred insect for them.
PROCESS
1.The contour is made of what would be the animal and the background of the drawing, with the help of a restorative B.
2.We proceed to detail the animal and fill with different symbols and patterns characteristic of this style.
3.Once everything is defined, we obtain this result, with which the part in pencil is concluded.
4.With the help of a fine tip marker, pencil lines are reviewed.
5.We continue to review all the lines.
6.Finally we darken some parts of the drawing with the help of a pencil B2, in order to give it depth.
