SLVR ICO: A Cryptocurrency Backed by Real Silver

in #slvr7 years ago

I'm usually not big on ICOs, but this one is pretty interesting. The beauty in this design is that the value of the cryptocurrency will not only be evaluated by simple supply and demand, but an ACTUAL asset. This is unseen by most cryptos. Backing by an asset will increase user confidence that the token will have value over time and not be so volatile.

It is fully supported by a 4,892 acres silver producing mine located in Sultepec Mining District outside of Mexico City.

Here's a video of the actual mining facility:

They will produce 23 million ERC Tokens and hold the mined silver in a 3rd party secured vault. Token holders will be able to retrieve their silver directly from this vault.

I like the fact of something physical backing a currency. Thanks for write up. Got me intrigued, as I am new to the crypto world. It took about 2 minutes of research and "can't own if you live in the US" what's with that?? I'm still digging into it though.

Yeah so the ICO laws in the U.S. are sketchy. So therefore most crowdfund places and ICOs just don't allow US residents to participate. But, they really just have to have that disclaimer. Very few ICOs actually block US ISPs and if they do you can simply get around them with a proxy. BUT I WOULDN'T KNOW ABOUT ANY OF THAT lol

About what? Huh what were we talking about. 😉

;) hahaha. Following you now!

crazy, ive been thinking, and mentioned of cryptos backed buy silver and gold, and here they are, great news :)

Definitely! I'm interested.

Definitely interesting! I'm also behind VeriumReserve/VeriCoin because of its backing feature but they are virtual currencies in the end.
