MATTRESSES
boldMattresses (also often called mattresses or beds) are manufactured products used for bedding or reclining, consisting of fabric or plastic, containing kapok, foam rubber, and covered with an outer fabric or mattress fabric.
In English, mattresses are called mattresses derived from Arabic, "matrah" which means "toss" or "the place where something is thrown". During the Crusades, Europeans applied the Arabic method of sleeping on a cushion thrown on the floor, and the word matera eventually descended into Middle England through the Roman language family.
