I Couldn’t Sleep Last Night (The Reason Might Be Your Best Investment)

in #smt7 years ago

Since the announcement of SMTs in a trending post by @ned, steemit CEO, It became really hard for me to sleep and each time I tried, it only get harder. When I close my eye, all I see are imaginations of how I should be learning more and carefully studying the Whitepaper of SMTs.

With understanding of the basics of this new, innovative and game-changing project, all I was seriously thinking was how I could leverage this once in a lifetime opportunity to create something that would revolutionize my business niche, make our world a better place and free humanity from the bondage and supremacy of government and centralize bodies.

Before now, I had regretted how I wasn’t the guy that invented FACEBOOK, the social network that revolutionize how we communicate; I had wished many times I was the guy that invented GOOGLE, the search engine that gathered the world information under a roof and makes it easy for everyone to access.

And my recent funny wishes are that I was Satoshi Nakamoto the “invisible” that invented bitcoin to save humanity from federal government and central banks therefore giving power back to the people. So when I heard of STEEM and STEEMIT, I said ohh no, I should be Ned or Dan the genius that are changing everything change-able in our world.

However I have come to realize that I can’t be any of these guys but I can be a better version of me and there is a new belief I work with, which is; opportunities don’t come but once, they come a lot of times but in different stages and phases, and every stage/phase of a new opportunity has a unique influence and wealth creation chance attached to it.

For instance, Vitalik didn’t have the opportunity to be Satoshi so he can be the “invisible” that developed Bitcoin, that opportunity eluded him. But not too long another opportunity came up to invent Ethereum that gave birth to numerous blockchain projects.

Dan Larimer didn’t have the opportunity to invent both bitcoin and ethereum but see him with a great opportunity of inventing EOS, something better than ethereum and Bitcoin put together.

What I am trying to say is that, SMTs is a rare opportunity for you to develop the next big thing in your niche, no matter how small or caved that niche is; in as much as you can think creatively and work really smart. Big thanks to @ned and his team of hard working and creative guys who came out with this concept.

Was This Really Enough for me to lose my Sleep?

Actually that 350+ words above is just a introduction to this post topic so now let me tell you the real deal and where the money is.

Actually when I came across the announcement post by @ned, it was getting late at night here in my country Nigeria. I tried all I could to watch the short video but the network was just too bad and fucked me up.

I couldn’t even download the whitepaper (you could imagine that). But luckily I was able to see the sales page which has a pretty simple introduction to what the project might be all about. It sounded really great and was like what I have been waiting for all my life to develop something revolutionary.

A midst these amazing thoughts in the middle of the night, I quickly became sad, flashing back to other great opportunities I had in the past to do something great that could not only change our world for good but could also make me influential and wealthy.

Something like buying a lot of bitcoin when it was just $200 as I recommended in a book I wrote and never publish. Read about it here I heard of etheruem at the beginning, withness the DAO hack and knew when it was $2 per ether.

And I had countless of start-up ideas in the past that never got developed. I even attended Aso Villa Demo day to pitch one of my ideas to the federal government of Nigeria but I never got the opportunity to mount the stage even after 2 months of rehearsing my 20 minute pitch.

My fear last night was that i might still even fail this present opportunity because of the same reasons I had failed other great opportunities in the past.

Why I Have Been Failing Obvious Great Opportunities of Life?

Because everything around me supported me to fail opportunities: epileptic power supply (7 hours access to power daily) supported me to fail opportunities.

Very weak support from family and friends supported me to fail opportunities: at 15, I had already discovered blogging business and had a blog at www.yungboss.com hosted on free blogging platform owned by google but it failed miserably because even at my level of knowledge, I was a broke dude.

I had no laptop of my own and when cost of blogging from cyber cafe and a not too smart phone was high, I quit. I struggle to afford high cost internet browsing data while there was never a free wifi hub around me.

I had failed to publish a 55,000 words book I wrote in 2016 because after planning a book launch party, I was attacked with schizophrenia and for over 2 weeks I was completely in another world partying my book launch in another realm. That incident really affected my life and made me lost motivation for a long time.

I failed the numerous ideas I generated everyday for 6 months because my environment favor my failure than my strength to work them out.

STEEMIT MADE A DIFFERENCE IN MY LIFE

Discovering steemit is one of the best things that had happened to me this year and I will be forever grateful to this great community and yeah let me use this opportunity to say thank you to few great guys that has been my support on this platform.

@bulleth: selfless, cool and hardworking man, he's my closet friend and mentor on the internet. I know I do disturb you a lot with irrelevant questions. But each time I run into little trouble, I don’t use to feel too much bad because I know I have a friend that will never get tired of me.

@reggaemuffin: awesome computer and blockchain developer so what do you expect? Creative human being of course. Please vote for him as a witness here https://steemit.com/~witnesses because his numerous contributions to this platform can’t be overrated. His last post is a saving grace check it out here.

@thecryptodrive: I love to call him boss, but he said he didn’t feel okay with that because he doesn’t pay me salary; that’s my way of respecting people I admire, I replied. And he said "if that’s the case, I will have to start calling you boss too." Can you imagine this kind of humility? He should be older than my Dad but he takes me as a friend. Endeavor to also vote for him as witness https://steemit.com/~witnesses

@stellabelle: wonderful woman, steemit is blessed to have people like you as early adopters, you fight for anything that’s right and will do anything possible to support creative ideas that will make steemit a successful platform that we all dream of. I can’t also forget the 20SBD you sent me in my rainy days without me actually asking. Your upvote and encouraging comments numerous times makes the difference.

Bania What’s the Best Investment Opportunity you Promise?

Yester-night in my sleepless night situation I wrote down ten ideas of how I or anyone could leverage the upcoming SMTs launch to build different technology solutions (thinking of publishing it on steemit). Ideas don’t turn to great projects on their own. This is not my first time generating ten ideas, I did that daily for 6 months in the bid to become an idea machine following Altucher’s concept of idea machine.

Unlike I have experienced previously, I don’t want to fail these ideas, I need someone to look at me and say; Bania what do you need to work on your ideas and make them work out? I don’t love to endorse myself but I will say this might be the best investment someone might make this year. Let's work together, and develop amazing ideas. Reach me on Discord or steemit.chat my user is "Bania" on both platform

If this post inspired, motivate, or educate you, why not resteem so others can experience same? If you upvote as well I will be glad and your comment will make me believe you did both.

Hey man, just learned of you after talking with @bulleth. Good heart felt post, keep up the solid work!

Thanks boss and yes @bulleth is a good man, i'm learning a lot from and he's been a helper thus far

Hey @bania, thanks for the kind words, Boss! ;) This is a great post, written by a great person. Keep up the great work! I'm as excited about the coming SMT's as you are, many possibilities for @buildteam @steemsports and @minnowbooster

Thanks Boss, I appreciate your support and you well deserved to be celebrated because of your numerous contributions and initiative to this community.

any SMTtoken is an asset issued on top of the STEEM blockchain and it's traded in a SMTtoken/STEEM pair, so the steem is major trading pair for any SMT in this way it helps steem token itself.

Great post mate - your writing is getting so much better - keep it up!

Thanks for the kind words too and don't hesitate to reach out whenever you need!

:)

Lol, i won't hesitate boss because you have proven to be helpful many times. Thanks for your support thus far

No worries bro - keep doing you :)

Still trying to get my understanding of this white paper

It can be difficult to cope reading the white paper as a non-techie person but luckily enough, you don't have to read it to actually get the idea. The information on the sales page here is enough to understand the basics. Also try and watch @ned video of why we did SMTs

Struggle to read it if you feel you need to understand the mechanism and structure of the blockchain and process involve. Sorry to say most white papers are filled with technical jargons written to confuse the non-techie guys

I am honored to be in your list of remarkable people 😊

In my opinion SMT is a game changer. It makes running an ICO a piece of cake. I'd love to read about your ideas how to utilize the token. Would be really interesting to make a post per idea giving an outlook on how to implement it with an example. A bit like the paywall post, just shorter 😉

Wow, that's a great a suggestion Boss, I will work will setup a template to work each post out , it becomes easy that way. You don't mind letting me know how you add those emoji to your comment?

My phone has an emoji keyboard, so you notice when I write from my phone or from my pc :) But I can recommend http://getemoji.com/ ✂️ Copy and 📋 Paste Emoji 👍 No apps required ;)

I didn't mean to get the trick to knowing when you write from phone or pc but fortunately i know anyways ;) Thanks, gatemoji looks great and now i have a better solution
