SMT Development Update: 2nd Burnup
Hello Steemians, we’re back this week with news on the latest progress toward SMTs. The team is getting back in the groove and has completed two user stories this week. In addition to these weekly reports, you can follow along on our GitHub project organization and tracking system for SMT development which is (usually) updated daily.
SMT scope added this week:
- https://github.com/steemit/steem/issues/3084
- https://github.com/steemit/steem/issues/3057
- https://github.com/steemit/steem/issues/3093
SMT work completed last week:
- https://github.com/steemit/steem/issues/2717 - Block generation code is now in the witness plugin
- https://github.com/steemit/steem/issues/2709 - Process the new automated actions queue and add them to blocks
The blue dots symbolize the number of points that we have completed for SMT development. For those who don’t know, assigning “Story Points” is part of Agile Software Development. They are a “unit of measure for expressing an estimate of the overall effort that will be required to fully implement a product backlog item or any other piece of work” and determined by using a Fibonacci Scale.
Overall we’re still behind schedule this week but we are tracking to our “get well” plan and should be back on schedule over the next few weeks.
Our goal with this series is to bring even more transparency to the development process of Smart Media Tokens. Your support for the team in last week’s post was incredible. We really appreciate it and look forward to keeping you updated.
The Steem Blockchain Team
Thanks for this progress report and I look forward to seeing more of these along the way. It's very reassuring and increases my hopes that SMT's will be ready in time.
Also congratulations everyone on all the efforts to win the Netcoins listing last week. You all did very good! :)
I absolutely agree :)
Given the specific nature of blockchain software I think "quality" is more important than being on time. So please guys, skip the deadline if you have to, but don't compromise on quality.

Don't feel like you have to rush to meet any deadlines...
Life happens and things get moved around, but you will eventually get there if you keep focused on each milestone moving forward

As long as progress is being made I don't think any one can complain. I'm liking these regular updates by the way.
Wow, as a skeptic of SMTs will solve everything this is something I'm looking forward to, thanks for putting this out and thank you to whoever thought of this brilliant idea of making stories/using the Agile Software!

I still haven't even got to use my Gold Dragon lol.
You are fortunate enough to have a gold foil dragon! Lucky!
看到“得分图(Burnup)”上蓝色的点图线曲率开始向上凸起,说明SP块链梦之队(The Steem Blockchain Team)队友们的激情正在燃烧!
期待凯歌高唱!
It is good to see this communication and the openness by the team. Honest communication to admit still behind schedule yet keeping everyone up on what is taking place.
This also allows the witnesses to keep track of what is going on too and hopefully looking closely at what is being done.
After the situation with Hard Fork 20, communication if vital BEFORE the release.
Appreciate this update!!! Keep rockin it Steem! 💪🏼🙌🏼💯
