Core Values from Home: My siblings.

One of the biggest blessing bestowed upon myself are to be born and raised in a very strongly bonded loving family. It has been like that for few generations now in my bigger family, where we always love to bring our close family friends to be part of our bigger family by having frequent family gatherings to travel, to enjoy themed parks, to do some wildlife activities or whatever we can find things to do together. These people are usually son and daughters to our parents, where we grew up together seeing each other often until we never remember the time where we weren’t together, like real siblings.

I always love to believe that these are a product of nurturing core values at home. Leading by example, my parents never actually talks about how important family is or how we should always prioritize our family first yada-yada, they always show us how by acting as such at home. It naturally sips in our core believe that it’s the right thing to do.

These core values resonates towards bigger senses developed within us. For example, it thought us how we should always treat others good, how everyone else around us matters, how we should appreciate everyone around us no matter what their social status are. We always feels like it’s a must to make other people’s life easier, as a responsibility, as much as we can because we have been blessed with so much good things all this while. These also leads towards my personal core beliefs, and my leadership quality, where I learn to enjoy things whilst sharing the joy with others.

It all started at home. Everything we individually do usually becomes an influence to the family, strengthening our core. Take arts for instance. My dad have always been active in arts, drawings and cartoons mostly since the very beginning. I was born when he was already well known cartoonist in his era, then the influence gets to me and my cousin. It does not stop there, when I was in the art field, ive influenced both my siblings into sketching and drawing until this very day, we all run KL Sketchnation and starts influencing many others to.

It is evident not just in sketching and drawing. We also as a family, always into music. Since we were young, we always spend time going to karaoke place with the rest of my uncles and aunties, where we siblings were exposed to great music beyond our time such Air Supply, Billy Joel, Elton John, Chicago, The Beatles and others where most of those my age might not know of. From there, each one of us naturally start to appreciate music and start playing the piano and guitar. All of us played and performed everywhere on our own but sometimes we do jam at home, whenever we feels like. :)
