ANALYSING SOMEONES POST
Okay so right now i want to make an in-depth analysis of someones post. she is amongst the 9 list of people that writes about one of the three domains listed;
- travel
- food
- homesteading.
As I said above, we want to ensure that we’re only picking the best so we want to see how you’re thinking and because of that you will have to make an in-depth analysis of someone’s post, tell us what you would change, what you would add, your overall opinion about it. We prepared you a few Steemians from Sndbox, write about a post made by one of them, make sure your post is objective. I would be analyzing the post made by @thegalavantgirl.
BREIF INTRODUCTION ABOUT @THEGALAVANTGIRL.
From the little i was able to observe by going through @thegalavantgirl blog, i was able to draw the following.
- Firstly she goes by the "Elise Mcmullen-Giotti".
- She is a blogger, even before steemit, she has her own blog. The galavant girl blog which she lauched in 2009
- She blogs about myriad things including food (topping the list). She is infact a foodie and 6 out of 9 of her post on steemit are all on food. she writes about other things including; travel, art and life.
- She joined steemit on the 27th of september 2017. with the vision to blog about food majorly and being creative about it. she also wishes to bring in artistry to her food in blogging as well as photograhy.
- According to her the meaning of@thegalaventgirl means; a woman who travels about, exploring things. so in that quote, she gave the meaning of her other name as seen in one of her comments.
ANALYSING HER POST.
I would be analsing her post on;
EVERY COOK SHOULLD HAVE AN IRON SKILLET (AND SOME HOMEMADE BUISCUITS)
In the post, she writes about two men, Mr. Goatee and Mr. surveillance making a speial reques of harmburgers , cooked medium rare with chilli and cheese and with out lettuce. they reqested it to be made on a large black iron skillet which the cook refused because they where very budy. Apparently the iron skillet where 3 in number and where gift for her from her grandfather. The two where friends of her grandfather and ued to work with it. one was in sales (Mr. Goatee) and the other was in development(Mr. Surveillance). She later used these pans to make buiscuits when she got home as well as called her old man.
TEXT FORMAT.
Her post text format was a work of perfection as expected of an experienced blogger. Her headings and write ups were neatly arranged with every heading relating to the sub-text in every way. Her post though appearing very simple with little special formatting was a masterpiece. The images were uniformly sized. With every image posted being exact and the same size with the other images posted. The appearrance of the work is so nice that she spaced where neccessary, put picture where neccessary making the whole post appealing to her readers getting them hooked-on down to the last full stop. She is indeed a blogger and i learnt a lot from her in terms of text formatting.
MOOD, TONE AND CONTENT OF THE POST.
@thegalavantgirl amazes me. I am not surprised she is in the @sndbox community. she really knows how to capture her readers. The tone in which she writes is so warm and friendly. Like you could actually relate to virtually everything she is writing about. She gets her readers viewing /reading into her perspective, seeing things from her standpoint. It is like he pours out her soul in simple and understandable text, No wonder she is such a succesful blogger. She is able to convey warmness and clarity in her tone as she drives home her message. To the readers she is able to create an intrigued and intrested mood as she brings novelty and astistry in her blogging. EVERY FOOD TELLS A STORY. She doesn't just make food blogging a boring adventure but one that connotes fun and intrest.
Honestly speaking I couldn't find something to change but if i was to add some thing it would be that she could have added a video clip about herself making the foods. This would have made her post more exquisite and educating as most readers are not really familiar with the recipes she blogs about. this wa she would be able to pass on the message she hope to pass in her blogging. Apart from that, she is a model that other bloggers (especially those who blog about food) should emulate from.
One striking thing about her food blogging is the way she presents her recipies at the end of every post making her readers intrested in reading it.she is able to charm her readers while passing on the details of the food ingredients , food and method. I have learnt a lot of things from her.
