Transfer News 30.05.2018

It has been reported by several reliable sources that Manchester United is close to their first summer signing. Porto right back, Diogo Dalot (19) is reportedly very close to signing for the Red Devils in a deal that will see Porto receiving 20 million Euros. The right back is considered a great talent and will prove a healthy competition for the ageing Antonio Valencia (33). He broke through Porto’s first team this spring and was recently voted as Porto’s young player of the year.

Only details remain before Diogo Dalot is a Manchester United player.

Another player that soon will be wearing the red jersey of Manchester United, is the Brazilian midfielder Fred (25). It has been reported for a while that a deal has been agreed, and while this is still very much the case, the deal will likely be concluded very soon as Brazil arrives in England this upcoming weekend to play Croatia in a friendly. This will be the perfect time for the Brazilian to take the medical and sign the deal that will tie his future to Old Trafford. The player will cost approximately 50 million Euros.

Everton has not started their summer spending yet, mostly because they are still without a manager. However, this is likely to change very soon with former Watford manager, Marco Silva expected to be announced as the new Everton manager within the week.

Speaking of managers, former Chelsea player and legend, Frank Lampard is in advanced talks to take the manager seat at Derby County. Derby is currently playing in the English Championship and it will be exciting to see how this former midfielder is able to perform as a manager.

In Italy, AS Roma has signed defender Ivan Mercano (30) from Porto, while city rivals Lazio is expected to sign Holger Badstuber (29) as a free agent to replace Stefan de Vrij (26) who just signed for Inter.
