The Reds confirmed today that the Canaries had completed the signing of the attacking midfielder, with £2.5m paid up front and a further £2m to follow in add ons related to the number of appearances the 19-year-old makes.

The Reds have also negotiated buy-back and sell-on clauses for the former Barcelona youngster.

Canos recently entered the final year of his contract at Anfield and rejected Liverpool’s offer of a new deal.

Canos has signed a four-year deal, after Norwich beat off competition from Bristol City, Fulham, Brentford, where the Spaniard spent last season on loan, Queen’s Park Rangers and Reading.

Canos excelled at Griffin Park making 18 Championship starts and scoring seven goals.

With the Premiership season ending a week after Brentford’s campaign had ended, Canos was included in Liverpool’s matchday squad for the final game of 2015/16 at West Bromwich Albion. He came off the bench with ten minutes remaining and later described the experience as “the best ten minutes of my life.”

Liverpool signed Canos from Barcelona in 2013, after the Valencia native had joined La Masia at the age of 13.
