Myth: Coronavirus - it's something like a normal flu.

Although the symptoms may look like a regular seasonal flu. Over time, the virus can penetrate into the lungs through body liquids you normally produce when you cold, and cause permanent damage to the lungs.
So if you have a symptoms we all know, drink more often (best to drink hot tea, or at least some water every 15-20min)in order to clear your throat and thus reduce the likelihood of the virus entering the lungs.

Myth: Surgical/Medical masks can protect you from the virus.

Surgical masks and the the fabric from which it is made is too thin. Viruses can freely penetrate the simple medical mask, because these masks more intended to keep your pathogens from the others if you sick.

The only possible way now days is a special respirators called "N95 respirators", which protect quite well.
You just need to wear it tightly to prevent air from entering through the edges of the mask and change the mask every 30 minutes. So-so solution. The best solution is to stay away from people.

Myth: Coronavirus affects only Asiatic people or even only Chinese people.

At first, it might seem so, because of the place where the virus started to spread. But today we already see what is happening in the whole world or take for example an Italy. The answer is obvious.

P.S. There is evidence that Asians, in the lungs have more specific cells with special receptors that are more virus-vulnerable.
But this is more like conspiracy theory, and this is a completely different topic. So if you are interested in this or any else conspiracy theory, then let me know and I will try to please you.
