True reason for the end of Orkut!

Recently, Hello, launched in 2016 by Orkut Buyukkokten, has received a lot of news. The creator of Orkut has brought communities back, which has lured users of Google's old social network to the new platform. With the mission to combat the advance of Facebook, Hello has revived a series of Orkut resources and has been betting on them as "differential." However, if Orkut's features are still successful, why did Google end the project even under protest from some users?

At the time of the shutdown, in 2014, the search giant justified the end of the platform - which had more users active in Brazil and India - with the success of other Internet products such as YouTube, Blogger and Google+. At TechTudo, however, Buyukkokten pointed out, in more detail, reasons that might have prompted Google to say goodbye to the project that bears his name.

Ex-Google, the Turkish developer saw the time go by inside the company - where he started activities in 2002. He turned himself off from the giant in 2014, twelve years later, and devoted himself to the Hello Network. Experience in the social media industry, however, has brought a more skeptical view of the late Orkut.

"A lot has happened in the industry since the launch of orkut.com Social Media is a constantly evolving sector, it is very important to always innovate and keep in touch with generations, usage patterns and community-sensitive themes. That do not evolve over time risk being outdated or irrelevant, "he explained.
