My understanding of capitalism vs. socialism

The point about capitalism is that it is a machine. It is a machine that can be representative of today's economic paradigm, and it can be represented by some paradigm not yet come to fruition, however based on the physical definition of capitalism, it is impossible to escape in a societal way from "capitalism." based on its bare-bones definition. If you harvest bananas from a tree and store them in a bucket, you are now in possession of capital.

It is physically impossible (talking actual physics) for any machine to run with 100% efficiency. There will always be waste in capitalism because it is an energy transference system. The more massive, and the more centralized such a system is, the more waste it will generate. Its "gears" will continually and inevitably break down, causing people to get thrown off of the machine. But the thing is that it is (in both theory and practicality) a self improving machine, and over time, it will create more equally distributed abundance that no one will ever have to worry about falling through the cracks. At that point, society would actually be ready for sustainable social programs. Right now, capitalized society is not ready for that phase, however, the fact that the poorest person in a capitalized society is non-comparatively richer in quality of life than even the kings and noblemen of societies before the advent of modern capitalism is proof that we are headed in that direction.

Without capitalism and the free market, we would not have the technologies that make what socialists want to implement even possible.Socialist programs simply would not function without the free market. Freedom means innovation, and even though sensible regulation is needed for ethical reasons, restrictions stifle it. Socialism in its authoritarian nature requires that people not be independent in their innovation and implements control over ownership of inventions.

No one is pretending that capitalism is perfect, but it does promote better outcome for everyone in the long run, if not equal. It already is spawning decentralized innovation as a byproduct of technological revolution. Eventually monopolies will crumble under the weight of the masses whose innovation is not tied up in corporate bureaucracy because of things like 3-D printing and crowdfunding. Until then society must learn to accept that blood sweat and tears are the price to pay for a better future. All good things come through trials and striving. If not for personal suffering, some of the greatest inventors would not have been motivated to solve it. Handouts without abundance remove that motivation.
