Social Network - Clubhouse

Another social network app, where I have an account, is Clubhouse. I have joined this app in 2021, when it was still an invite-only app. One of my friends, invited to join this app, and I joined it. It is an audio social network. The main feature of this app, users can create or join clubs, based on interests or topics. Hence the name of Clubhouse. The members of those clubs, can then create rooms, where they can voice their opinions, or participate in discussions with others users. Some rooms, though, are private, and only available for specific club members. Another important feature is creating events, where users can create discussions around certain time, while other users can opt-in. Of course, users, who opted-in the event, would be constantly reminded of the event on the app. In addition, users can monetize their content. Hence making certain clubs, or discussions, available behind the paywall. At the same time, they can send direct payments to their favorite content creators.
In regards to user-to-user interaction, users can wave to each other. This feature is similar to Facebook poke, where user can notify a specific user, that he or she is available to chat. Another feature is backchannel communication. This allows users to interact by text messaging, whether individually, or in a group chat. Of course, voice calling is also available on this app. Users, just as with Twitter, Instagram, or TikTok, can follow other users. Of course, in the beginning, users could not remove someone from following them. Now, users can decide, who can follow them. Nevertheless, the option of making an account completely private is not available on this app. Unlike Instagram, Twitter, or TikTok, users can only make certain features of their profile private.
The last feature, available, for both, user to user conversations, or clubs, is to record entire conversation or thirty-second clips. Those recordings, too, can be shared off the app.
The main reason, that I have joined, this app, was to listen to discussions, or gather ideas, in regards to investment opportunities. Furthermore, I used this app religiously, in beginning of 2022, to listen political and geopolitical discussions, in regards to Russian invasion of Ukraine.
I still use this app, to listen, or participate, in certain discussions. So, if anyone has an account on this app, feel free to follow me.
