Social Network - Speakeasy

in #socialmedia2 months ago

A social network app, where I had an account, was known as Speakeasy. It was basically a copy of Instagram, with one caveat. Users could monetize their content. Other than monetization, the functions were similar to Instagram. Users could upload their videos and photos. Without photos and videos, users could also livestream. They could, also, follow other users. In addition, users could message privately other users. Of course, monetization worked both ways in this app.
First way was to create membership tiers, similar to Patreon. With memberships tiers, users would have their comments highlighted during livestreams of other users. Furthermore, they would have priority placements in audience of livestreams.
Second way was to tip the users, and select the minimum amount of allowable tip. The users could tip during the live broadcasts. They could also tip other users randomly, or tip photos and videos, that were uploaded.
In spite of these features, this app did not gain foothold in social media market. I have used this app in 2021. Of course, after 2021, I seldom used this app. Until, I noticed that in the middle of 2024. This app could not connect to servers, was removed from App Stores, and became inactive. The main reason, that I have used this app, was to watch livestreams of Tai Lopez. He is a social media influencer, that I was following, at the time. Certain livestreams were exclusively on Speakeasy. So, I used this app to watch them. My nickname, was, as usual, pliutkus.
