Inauguration Day coming, and you may want to prepare - againsteemCreated with Sketch.

Is it time to prepare again?

I know, I sound like a broken record. I have already done several emergency shopping runs last year - first when the COVID-19 pandemic began, then prior to the US Election on 3 November 2020, and then prior on the day the Congress voted to certify the results of the November election - and the day that now lives in infamy due to the riot that took place in the Capitol building in Washington. And now the next possible flashpoint date is coming up - the day Joe Biden is expected to be inaugurated as President on 20 January 2021. Just materials allegedly found on Hunter Biden's abandoned laptop are likely enough for a number of arrests and criminal probes.

The situation is already tense. 20,000 soldiers are expected to be on hand to provide security. This is one interpretation. Other sources report that this may be a ruse by Trump. The scenario they pose is that Trump is attempting to overturn the result of the election by declassifying various compromising materials against major figures in the Democratic Party and the establishment - possibly up to and including the President-elect Joe Biden - and then order a number of high profile arrests. The soldiers are being position in the capital in order to enforce trump's orders and quell possible opposition. He is using the need for inauguration security as a way to get them in position without arousing suspicion. Needless to say, this scenario is fraught with danger.

Another scenario is that protests planned on that day - both in Washngton, DC and in state capitals across the nation - may turn violent. The FBI expects some of the protesters to be armed rioters. That is certainly a possibility.

The above scenario may play out in multiple ways. One is that Trump supporters - or even those not particularly concerned with Trump but incensed at perceived injustice of what looks like a fraudulent election - may turn violent. Another one is that violence may be carried out by armed agent provocateurs.

Both sides have plenty of reason to attempt false flag terror attacks - especially on a day like this - in order to use emergency powers to their advantage. In short, the risk of disruptions in communication lines, food supplies lines, power and other utility supply lines is definitely at a heightened level during a volatile time like this.

In light of all of this, I really think that everyone, regardless of their political affiliations, would be well advised to review their situation and use the next few days to make sure they are well prepared to weather the storm. If you live in a major urban area and have the ability to leave it, that may be a good idea. Wherever you are, it is a good idea to make sure you have plenty of basic supplies - food, water, medicine you take, etc. - to last awhile if need be.

Same as all the prior times - I wouldn't sound this alarm if I did not honestly believe there was grounds for that. I also would be most delighted to see all of my worries to turn out to have been for naught.

As it stands, I will be happy to help whoever I can. If you are local (Providence/Boston area) I may even be able to help via direct action if need be.

If you do it smart and nothing major happens then you get to literally eat your mistake. If you make a mistake the other way around - you need food and there is none in the area - that is a tougher situation.

Stay safe and keep a level head.
