human environment is constantly changing to suit our needs

warm saturday steemers im going to write my short about  The human environment is constantly changing to suit our needs. With reference to a town or city you know well, describe the changes which are taking place. Why have these changes occurred, and what effect will these changes have?

Warminster is a small market town in Wiltshire. It used to have a busy town centre with a number of shops and local businesses, including factories. However, now a lot of these shops and businesses have closed down, leaving empty shop premises. The pavements, once full of shoppers, are deserted.
There are several reasons for these changes. First is the increasing number of large supermarkets which have been built on the outskirts of the town. People no longer need to go to bakeries, grocery shops and butchers when they can buy all they need in one place. Nowadays, customers also buy a lot of goods from the internet because it is more convenient and often cheaper. This also has contributed to the closure of shops, especially those selling books and music. Thirdly, as factories relocated from the town centre to more convenient locations near main roads, there is no longer a flow of workers using the town centre at lunchtime.
The closure of these shops and businesses will continue to have a bad effect on Warminster. The closure of one shop often has a knock-on effect on other shops in the vicinity. The local council will also be negatively affected, as it will lead to a decrease in their income through rates and taxes. The town centre may eventually cease to become a centre of commerce, but will become a centre of entertainment instead, offering services such as salons, bars and restaurants rather than shops and business premises. thank you..
