the thought police are busy playing whack-a-mole
Watching links get banned is my new entertainment. I rarely share links let alone links outside of music education information. I am VERY particular; so particular that a parent pointed out how rarely I post that when I do, it’s the more interesting.
This week, I found the Plandemic documentary of interest. Its 26 minutes of controversy and has a short shelf life. It’s died faster than any other video online but resurrects often. Most of the video hosting sites kill off the video only to find another person is uploading it elsewhere. It’s like watching whack-a-mole. The thought police has found a favorite target and constantly whacking at it only makes me more intrigued.
It’s a good thing to question everything. That includes checking on the fact checkers. If it’s “common knowledge” to not trust politicians, why is it sensible to trust your government? And if we believe that politicians are charismatic liars who are addicted to power and control, can we trust their “friends” of experts and specialists who make a career of being cosy with every new administration?
We’re maybe being a smidge naive thinking if Lex Luther existed in our world that the morally above reproach scientists and experts would stop him from his climb to world domination. Seriously folks, if you found out that you worked for Darth Vader and you were given a choice of death or a juicy kickback and membership into an exclusive protected club, which would you choose? Everyone KNOWS the Galactic Empire throws the poshest parties and their Stormtroopers look cooler that the rabble Rebel Alliance. The Alliance are just upgraded oompah loompahs.
Agent Smith thought of humans as a virus and was programmed to exterminate rouge players in the matrix. Is it impossible to consider that there might be people looking at the human talent pool and not seeing possibilities for a better world? Could there be a powerful thought that looks at the world with scorn and scarcity that sees culling the herd as the moral path to save the world? Too many oompah loompahs!
A friend told me this week that capitalism is what’s breaking down society. I didn’t agree. If we took away capitalism, would we be safe from the matrix, from Lex Luther, and other dark lords? It’s power in evil hands that puts people in danger and people not speaking up or feeling protected enough to say anything. Supporting someone to make a stand and say their peace is far more dangerous than censorship. We are seeing a world before us demonize anyone who questions the “trusted” establishment. And someday soon, we may come to a day when saying...
“Just let the person finish saying what they need to say. Let them speak!”
A thing of the past. My friend’s tee shirt, a vulgar thought.
No, no, no. Information is not power. It’s dangerous.
After all, we have experts to trust. And if you are a good person, you trust that everyone is as golden hearted as you.
I’m watching whack-a-mole online. It’s interesting. If it was book burning, we’d be roasting marshmallows everyday. Maybe censorship has been going on for a while and we were just too busy to notice.
