For some reason, I am also on the list not to receive the Hive airdrop. (@hiveio). I also put a lot of time into steem, but get excluded from the airdrop, I also supported the real steem witnesses and changed my witness votes to the top steem witnesses. (I however made a mistake with one goodguy 24, which I thought was a steem witness, and rectified it immediately when made aware of the mistake). According to me I never gave a proxy to anybody, but if I did it must be more than a year ago, how can this be held against one, as nobody could have guessed at the time what would happen with steem today??? My stake is not big around 12000 steem, before I started to power down, but it is a lot of money for me and could make a difference in my life someday!!
In that case, you'll probably receive your airdrop after this error is corrected in a hard fork, which will take a while. And otherwise, I'm sure you'll get your Hive when you make a proposal.
The blacklist based on voting was a bad idea, but it's not the same thing as freezing existing money, and it was not decided by one person who has the power to remove witnesses.
