Doctors worried about eclipse viewing on august 21

On August 21, the moon will cast its shadow over the United States in a 70 mile far reaching way from Salem, Oregon to Charleston, South Carolina. Its been almost a century since the last visible solar eclipse in the United States. Anybody in the way will have an opportunity to perceive what the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) is calling "one of nature's most amazing sights."

Even hundred of miles away from the main path, will be possible observe a partial solar eclipse and if you do not extreme precautions in trying to observe this amazing sight, it could lead you to a solar retinopathy.

Ophthalmologists in the United States fear what once happened in Turkey in 1976 and in the United Kingdom in 1999. It has happened again and again as trying not to miss out this nature's beauty and suffering as consequence a solar retinopathy that unfortunately has no treatment.
