Ahead of its launch, more leaks regarding the OnePlus 5T continue to come online. The name of the phone was confirmed by OnePlus CEO Pete Lau in a forum post last week, in which he also asserted that the new OnePlus 5T will continue to use the 3.5mm headphone jack. Now there is a leak that details the specifications of the phone and it comes courtesy GFXBench.

The specs leaked on the website reveal that the OnePlus 5T will come with a bigger screen. The benchmark listing reveals almost all the key specs of the device. The OnePlus 5T appears with model number A5010 and a 6-inch FHD+ panel with 2160x1080 pixel resolution on the GFX website. This resolution give the screen of the phone an aspect ratio of 18:9, making it a device similar to the LG V30 and Google Pixel 2 XL, that too have a large 6-inch screen with the same aspect ratio. Some rumours hint that the OnePlus 5T may resemble the newly launched Oppo R11s.

Even as there is a talk regarding the hardware of the OnePlus 5T, there are also rumours around its launch date. The latest reports hint that the OnePlus 5T is likely to launch on November 16, in India as well as in other countries. Although the global launch event is likely to be held in New York. On Monday, apart from the hardware leak, another photo (used as the main image in this story) of the OnePlus 5T was also leaked.

Going by the benchmark listing on the GFX website, it looks like OnePlus 5T will be an improved version of the OnePlus 5, especially in the camera department. To recall, OnePlus 5 comes with 16-megapixel selfie camera. The GFXBench listing shows that the OnePlus 5T may come with a 20-megapixel sensor on the front. While on the back, the OnePlus 5T, as teased, will come with dual cameras, like the OnePlus 5. The back camera, as revealed by the benchmark listing may come with two 16-megapixel sensors. Rumours also hint the upcoming OnePlus 5T front and back camera may include some AI tricks to offer consumers portrait mode with bokeh effect. This is already offered in the rear camera of the OnePlus 5. Now with the OnePlus 5T, the same feature may come to the front camera.

The benchmark listing further shows that OnePlus 5T will come in two variants -- just like the OnePlus 5. The base variant may come with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage, while the high-end version of the phone may include 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. OnePlus 5T in the leaks is shown running on OxygenOS based on Android 7.1.1 Nougat OS, but chances are that the device may ship with Android 8.0 Oreo when it launches.

Ahead of the official launch which is expected to happen in the next couple of weeks, OnePlus has confirmed a few details about the upcoming flagship phone. The company CEO Pete Lau had earlier confirmed that they would not ditch the 3.5mm headphone jack for the OnePlus 5T. OnePlus believes that OnePlus fans and community want the headphone jack on their phones, and hence the company is going to follow what the customers want and will not ditch the headphone jack like other companies such as Google and Apple that have removed the headphone jack from their devices.

Alongside confirming some of the specs of OnePlus 5T, the Chinese phone maker is hinting at the imminent launch of the device. The new teasers by the company hints that OnePlus may launch the flagship phone in New York City first, and later bring to other markets including India. Some rumous suggest that OnePlus 5T India launch may happen on November 16, however, the company hasn't confirmed that yet. OnePlus on Sunday posted a picture and asked everyone to guess the location they are going to launch the 5T, the company posted -- "Guess which city we're going to party in for the #OnePlus5T launch!" The photo -- according to Phonearena -- is of West 34th Street and Broadway in Manhattan, New York City.oneplus-5t-leak_559_110617102020.jpg
