Feel Something

Just trying to feel somethin
Life has lost its excitement
Hell is in the mind
And it tells you you'll never find your way out this time

Desperate to feel somethin
Escape this discontent and boredom
Of a world fundamentally broken
Beyond repair, can only numb the pain

I just want to feel different
So I consume these things
Yet I fear my coping mechanisms
May end up consuming me

I have to cling to the belief
That there is a higher order to existence
That all must return to the light eventually
And that this belief will set me free
