You might have seen Wall E where all human being live in a Space station and robots take care of everything. Well, brace yourselves its going to happen. Let me introduce to Space Kingdom of Asgardia

Its an ambitious project to build a kingdom, Asgardia in outer space.This project has been initiated by a russian scientist Igor Ashurbeyli. As of now there are 135315 peoples signed up to be citizen of Asgardia. They even have a constituition and an anthem.All these detail can be found in their website - https://asgardia.space/en/

You can nominate yourself for a citizenship in their website. You may find it as a joke but they are pretty serious and actually launched Asgardia 1 into the orbit on Nov 12,2017. Its a small satelite, a nanosat, which contains data of Asgardia citizens. They even applied for UN to be recognized as a nation. After announcing the project nearly 500,000 people applied for the citizenship.

Recently Asgardians held a voting process and selected Head of Nation who is none other than Igor_Ashurbeyli. People who are working behind these project are not mere mortals.Check this from Wikipedia regarding the head of nation-"He was the CEO of Scientific Production Association (SPA) Almaz from 2000 to 2011. He was also the Chairman of the Board of Socium Holding. He has a Doctorate of Science in Engineering. He has a PhD in Engineering, with a specialization in Computer Science. He is the creator of the proposed 'space nation' of Asgardia."
