Water Beyond Earth Series #3 - The flowing lakes in Saturn's Moon Titan

in #space7 years ago

Titan, is the only planetary body in solar system which is known for its flowing lakes.
Study and data collected by NASA Cassini spacecraft and other missions shows that Titan is one of the likely candidate to be observed by an unmanned missions.

Besides, having liquid water on surface Titan also have a dense atmosphere just like Earth, but it is not composed with the same gases as in our atmosphere.
In fact Titan atmosphere is mostly of Methane gas.!

All the atmosphere and water presented on Titan is made up of Methane, but it has been regarded as the last hostile place for Humans beyond Earth with in our solar system.

Yup! and if you or someone one day step on the Titan surface, then you should know that it even rains there!
Amazing isn't it?
It rains from the clouds of Methane formed above its surface and cherishes the land.

Below Image is from NASA showing the liquid water on Titan Surface.

Well, Scientist believes that lives depended on Methane or those bacteria which can survive on Methane are likely to survive on this moon.

Any original image?
Yes, Humans have one original surface image of moon thanks to ESA Huygens probe

View of Moon as the probe is above the ground you can clearly see some mountains

Diameter of Titan 5.150km. Diameter of Earth 12.742 km. Some adjustments will be necessary :)

well if only humans can do it :)
