Technically, the planned 4G network is characterized by a frequency of 1,800MHz, as on Earth. This solution will achieve considerable energy savings according to the founder of PTScientists. The 4G equipment weighs less than 1 kg and will be loaded on rovers.

With the "Mission to The Moon", the German firm Audi wants to compete for the Google Lunar XPrize. This award will go to the first private company to land an unmanned spaceship on the moon.

PTScientists intends to rise to the challenge with the collaboration of major telecommunication firms.

HD videos from the moon

The private mission led by PTScientist will extend a 4G network on the Moon. It will be possible to watch high definition videos taken on the satellite and review for example the landing site of the Apollo 17. The last expedition on the Moon dates back to 1972. Thanks to this project, researchers will have the data more precise scientists.

In practice, rovers called Audi Lunar Quattro will be equipped with HD cameras. This material will allow you to take pictures and possibly videos of very high quality. The images obtained will be relayed by the Alina fixed base. The 4G network will thus facilitate the transfer of data between these different devices.

"Mission to the Moon": the 50th anniversary celebration of the first step on the Moon

The ambition of the German start-up is astronomical. According to Robert Böhme, the project leader: " For humanity to leave the Earth, we must develop infrastructure beyond our home planet. "

The dispatch of the rovers and Alina is scheduled for 2019 via SpaceX Falcon 9 Rocket and this is part of the celebration of 50 years of the first steps of the man on the Moon. This mission will also identify effective solutions to reduce the costs of space shipments.
