[ENG-ESP] Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich will play the final of the Champions League / Paris Saint-Germain y Bayern Munich jugarán la final de la Champions League.
A Champions League final in a certain way unprecedented. Not because the finalists lack hierarchy. But because, along the way, there were other great candidates such as Real Madrid and Barcelona for Spain, Juventus for Italy, Manchester City for England.
And above all because in the semifinals there were two teams that, a priori, could hardly overcome the round of 16: RB Leipzig and Olympique Lyonnais popularly known as Lyon.
Gone are sacred monsters and the final comes one who could never play it (PSG) and another quite accustomed (it will be the final number 11 and 5 titles won the last in the 2012-2013 season playing against Borusia Dortmund the first German final in history of the cup).
A final stage of the Champions League that will go down in history not only for the particular way of playing it in a single match in a single neutral stadium (in this case the Da Luz stadium where Benfica plays at home in Lisbon, Portugal) but also because Among the 8 best classified, 3 outsiders entered: to those already mentioned we must add Atalanta of Italy.
Whether Bayern Munich or Paris Saint-Germain clearly won their matches. A resounding 3 to 0 in both cases made the difference.
Una final de Champions League en cierta manera inédita. No porque los finalistas carezcan de jerarquía. Sino porque, en el camino, quedaron otros grandes candidatos como el Real Madrid y el Barcelona por España, la Juventus por Italia, el Manchester City por Inglaterra.
Y sobre todo porque en semifinales aparecían dos equipos que, a priori, difícilmente podían superar los octavos de final: el RB Leipzig y el Olympique Lyonnais conocido popularmente como Lyon.
Atrás quedaron monstruos sagrados y a la final llegan uno que nunca pudo jugarla (PSG) y otro bastante habituado (será la final número 11 y 5 títulos ganados el último en la temporada 2012-2013 jugando contra el Borusia Dortmund la primera final alemana en la historia de la copa).
Una etapa final de la Champions League que pasará a la historia no solo por el particular modo de jugarla a un solo encuentro en un único estadio neutral [en este caso el estadio Da Luz donde juega como local el Benfica en Lisboa, Portugal) sino porque entre las 8 mejores clasificadas entraron 3 outsiders: a las ya mencionadas debemos agregar el Atalanta de Italia.
Ya sea el Bayern Munich como el Paris Saint-Germain ganaron con claridad sus encuentros. Un contundente 3 a 0 en ambos casos marcó la diferencia.
