Yo conocí a Pedro aproximadamente en el año 2011, debido a que era amigo de mi mejor amiga y está en su fiesta de cumpleaños lo invito y me lo presento. Casualmente, Pedro estudiaba en el Colegio donde mi mamá es profesora. Luego de la fiesta de mi amiga, yo fui en varias oportunidades al colegio a acompañar a mi mamá y me encontraba con Pedro en los pasillos y nos sentábamos a hablar. Este fue el principio de una bella amistad que actualmente supera muchas barreras, especialmente: la distancia.

I met Pedro approximately in 2011, because he was a friend of my best friend and this one at his birthday party invited him and introduced me to him. Coincidentally, Pedro studied at the College where my mom is a teacher. After my friend's party, I went to school several times to accompany my mom and I met Pedro in the hallways and we sat down to talk. This was the beginning of a beautiful friendship that currently overcomes many barriers, especially: distance.

Pedro es una persona maravillosa, con sus valores y principios bien marcados. Es educado, comprometido, cariñoso, atento, servicial y sobre todo familiar. Por esta última característica de su personalidad fue que calo tanto y se ganó el cariño y el amor de mi familia. Hasta el punto que Pedro le pide la bendición a mi mamá y a mi tía, ambas lo aman.

Pedro is a wonderful person, with his values and principles well marked. He is polite, committed, affectionate, attentive, helpful and above all familiar. Because of this last characteristic of his personality, it was that he fell so much and earned the affection and love of my family. To the point that Pedro asks my mom and my aunt for a blessing, they both love him.

Visita Sorpresa

Pedrito o cosi como cariñosamente le digo desde que lo conozco, llegó a mi casa de sorpresa de Argentina, donde actualmente reside. Toco el timbre de mi casa y yo salí a abrir la puerta, para mi sorpresa estaba afuera con un pan dulce, típico de mi región, los andes venezolanos. Yo no cabía de la emoción, estaba anonada por tan grata sorpresa, teníamos como aproximadamente 4 años sin vernos. Lo hice pasar a mi casa, y toda mi familia lo recibió como si fuera mi hermano. Amigos como él pocos en la vida.

Pedrito or cosi, as I have affectionately told him since I have known him, came to my surprise house in Argentina, where he currently resides. I ring the bell of my house and I went out to open the door, to my surprise I was outside with a sweet bread, typical of my region, the Venezuelan Andes. I had no room for emotion, I was overwhelmed by such a pleasant surprise, we had about 4 years without seeing each other. I made him come to my house, and all my family received him as if he were my brother. Few friends like him in life.

Reencuentro. Reunion.

Este día Pedrito llevó a la casa una bolsa de Mate tradicional, típica bebida de Argentina, para que mi familia y yo lo probáramos. Además, me contó que en el mercado argentino existen muchas variedades de mates y hay otros combinados con otros sabores. La verdad yo estaba muy a la expectativa y tenía la curiosidad de conocer su sabor. Pedro nos explicó cómo se preparaba y cuáles eran las costumbres argentinas relacionadas a esta bebida.

This day Pedrito brought home a bag of traditional Mate, a typical drink from Argentina, so that my family and I could try it. In addition, he told me that in the Argentine market there are many varieties of mates and there are others combined with other flavors. The truth was that I was very expectant and I was curious to know its flavor. Pedro explained to us how it was prepared and what were the Argentine customs related to this drink.

Todos en mi casa, tuvieron la oportunidad de probarlo, a mi mamá y a mi tía les gusto, pero por mi parte, no me gustó tanto su sabor, lo probé con azúcar y sin ella, pero con azúcar fue mucho más digerible jajaja. Siempre es bueno probar bebidas y comidas de otros países así no nos gusten tanto, lo importante es conocer, disfrutar y vivir la experiencia. Doy gracias a mi amigo por tomarse la molestia de traer el mate para compartir en familia y permitirnos conocer un poquito de Argentina, un bello país.

Everyone in my house had the opportunity to try it, my mom and my aunt liked it, but for my part, I did not like its flavor so much, I tried it with sugar and without it, but with sugar it was much more digestible hahaha. It is always good to try drinks and foods from other countries even if we do not like them so much, the important thing is to know, enjoy and live the experience. I thank my friend for taking the trouble to bring the mate to share with the family and allow us to get to know a little bit of Argentina, a beautiful country.

Finalmente, terminamos el día entre risas y anécdotas. Mi amigo y yo, nos colocamos al día con nuestra vida y hablamos de muchas cosas. De verdad lo aprecio mucho y es una amistad fuerte. Aunque no hablemos tan seguido, cada uno sabe que cuenta con el otro. Es siempre lindo reencontrarse con amigos que valen oro y tienes tiempo sin ver, recordar cuentos viejos es revivir. Pedrito gracias por estar.💛

Finally, we finished the day with laughter and anecdotes. My friend and I catch up with our lives and talk about many things. I really appreciate it a lot and it is a strong friendship. Even if we don't talk so often, each one knows they have the other. It is always nice to meet with friends who are worth gold and you have time without seeing, remembering old stories is reliving.
