En esta oportunidad “8D se arma el árbol” ...

Es una tradición aquí en la Argentina, seguramente en otras partes del mundo también.
Además de ser feriado en la Argentina, por el Día de la Inmaculada Concepción de María, se arman los árboles de navidad en hogares, espacios públicos, gobierno, empresas.
En este hecho existen varias hipótesis que compartimos: Según dicen los diarios el primer árbol de navidad en la Argentina se armó en el año 1807, no aclaran el lugar ni el día. Pero si aclaran que fue armado por un Irlandés que deseaba recordar la tradición de su país.
Hipótesis 1: el 8D fue decisión de Pío IX, este Papa con nombre de pollito, proclamó el 8 de diciembre de 1854 diciendo: “por privilegio único, fue preservada la mancha original desde el primer instante de su concepción”. Por ese hecho, el arbolito se arma el Día de la Virgen y se afirmó con el paso del tiempo.
Hipótesis 2: Leyenda Griega.
Los griegos consagraban el pino a Dionisio, dios de la fertilidad y del vino, a quien se lo representaba con una varilla, el tirso, coronada con hojas de vid y de hiedras, terminada en forma de piña, el fruto del pino.

La piña cerrada era para los romanos símbolo de virginidad y no por casualidad se la utiliza en las mesas navideñas.

Hipótesis 3: Don Lutero
La tradición cristiana tomó un simbolismo de las comunidades Celtas, aunque con especies arbóreas propias. Martín Lutero, uno de los padres de la reforma en el cristianismo, fue quien impuso los árboles de Navidad, hacia el año 1.500, pero en vez de roble, de pino.

La leyenda cuenta que Lutero, caminando de regreso a su casa una noche de invierno, fue sorprendido por el brillo de las estrellas entre los árboles.

Quiso entonces reproducir esa escena en su hogar, y colocó un rama de árbol de pino en una habitación, y le instaló alambres en sus ramas para sostener velas encendidas.

Leyenda 4: El Niño
Una leyenda europea dice que el árbol de Navidad tuvo su origen una fría noche de invierno, cuando un niño buscó refugio en la casa de un leñador y su esposa, que lo recibieron y le dieron de comer.

Durante la noche, el niño se convirtió en un ángel vestido de oro: era el niño Dios. Para recompensar la bondad de los ancianos, tomó una rama de un pino y les dijo que la sembraran, prometiéndoles que cada año daría frutos. Aquel árbol dio manzanas de oro y nueces de plata.

Leyenda 5: los Nórdicos
Una de ellas cuenta que cuando los primeros cristianos llegaron al norte de Europa, descubrieron que esas comunidades celebraban el nacimiento de Frey, dios del sol y la fertilidad, adornando un árbol de roble, en la fecha próxima a la Navidad católica.
Este árbol, vinculado a celebraciones paganas, simbolizaba al árbol del Universo, llamado Yggdrasil, en cuya copa se hallaba Asgard (la morada de los dioses) y el Valhalla (el palacio de Odín; y en las raíces más profundas estaba Helheim (el reino de los muertos).
Luego, con la evangelización de esos pueblos, los cristianos tomaron la idea del árbol, para celebrar el nacimiento de Cristo, pero cambiándole totalmente el significado. Se dice que San Bonifacio (680-754), evangelizador de Alemania, tomó un hacha y cortó un árbol que representaba al Yggdrasil (aunque también pudo ser un árbol consagrado a Thor), y en su lugar plantó un pino, que por ser perenne, simbolizó el amor de Dios, adornándolo con manzanas y velas.

Legend 4: The Child
