Wonderful article @resiliencia
Among scientists there is no unanimous opinion on which of the senses, and therefore, what feeling is the most important, that is, bearing the greatest amount of valuable information analytical center of the brain, forming the final perception. In psychology, or rather in its main currents, today the leading role is given to vision. It is believed that most of the information (up to 80%), from which the perception is formed, is a visual contact. Whether it is or not, at least it is obvious that visual function is a very important source of information about the outside world. It senses a pair of eyes that on the physical level and perceive information from the light vibrations. The correct work of the eye allows us to perceive photonic waves in the color spectrum, which subsequently allows the brain to generate all the many colors that are painted in our minds the world.
It should be noted that the colors are chromatic, that is, those that form the color spectrum observed, for example, in the rainbow. The opposite of achromatic. There are only three of them – black, white and gray.

Thank you Margarita!
What an amazing information provided in your comment.
It's surprising that almost 80% of the information of the perception is provided by the eyes!
Have a nice day! :)
