En Asturias (España) tenemos un conjunto de tradiciones fantásticas y leyendas populares del folclore que conocemos como la Mitología Asturiana.
La Guaxa
Aunque a veces es invisible, también aparece como una mujer con aspecto de bruja de pelo blanco con un sólo diente muy afilado, la cara arrugada y llena de verrugas, extremadamente delgada y feísima.
De noche entra por las rendijas a chupar la sangre a la gente joven. Repite estas visitas nocturnas hasta que la víctima enferma y muere. Es un ser dañino que también predice la muerte.
