Ilusión, desilusión y satisfacción.
Recientemente tuve la oportunidad de viajar a Inglaterra y por supuesto llevaba la ilusión de ver el Big- Ben y otras sitios que tipicamente se visitan cuando se va ese lugar.
Luego de todos los preparativos, realizo el viaje y me dispongo a dirigirme al primer lugar con toda la ilusión que amerita el conocer un icono mundial para el turismo, con lo cual comienzo mi caminata bordeando el Rio Tamesis por The Queen`s Walk y lo primero que se visualiza es la impresionantemente grande "London Eye". Una rueda que te permite ver prácticamente los alrededores del centro de Londres desde su altura máxima, siempre y cuando este despejado, cosa que no es tan común.
Luego segui caminado, no sin antes probar un delicioso helado al pie de la majestuosa rueda.
Pero extiendo la vista y entre lo nublado del ambiente veo la torre del reloj con algo raro y veo a su lado el Palacio de Westminster, lugar donde se llevan a cabo las sesiones del Parlamento del Reino Unido y donde funcionan lo que hemos visto en muchas películas La Cámara de los Lores y La Cámara de los Comunes y digo ya estoy cerca de ver el reloj que define el comienzo de las horas del mundo.
Finalmente en la medida que me voy acercando y se ve mejor el panorama me llevo una sorpresa y digo:
!no lo puedo creer!.
El Big Ben estaba completamente cubierto con un andamiaje y unas telas o mayas....estaba en mantenimiento.
Bueno la emosion de estar allí era la misma y al menos si pude ver el reloj, Jajaja.
Por supuesto un viaje a un lugar como este te lleva a conocer sitios increibles, disfrute muchísimo la estadía y pensé que la anécdota seria interesante.
