Baru River Outskirts

The Baru River (Aceh: Krueng Baru) is the perfect blend of valleys, mountains and streams. The contour spans with a green stretch make it one of the cheaper recreational destinations. His position is in Lembah Sabil Subdistrict (Southwest Aceh) and West Labuhan Haji (South Aceh). This river becomes a natural separator between the two.

This river comes from the wilds of Gunung Leuser National Park. This watery river has clear and cool water.

Every time there are people who visit it, especially in the big days of Islam, the river will be crowded by tourists. Some go for "meuramin" (recreation) or camp on the wide riverbanks.

Spending an afternoon or filling a weekend getaway is often done by local residents in the two rivers separating the two regency. Visitors who come to river area usually the youth. They spend time just bathing, drinking or just washing the vehicle.

Many also just hanging out on the bridge that has a height of nearly 20 meters. The end will be presented by Bukit Barisan Mountains, the most magnificent is Leuser Peak which is the highest peak in Aceh.[]
