Breaking the Roadblocks - The Story of Ronaldo

in #sport7 years ago (edited)

Cristiano Ronaldo is a role model for children all over the world today. He takes care of the outside appearance, loves communication and attracts more and more fans because of the performances on the field. But before he became a symbol of success, a name and face that tens of millions follow, Ronaldo had a difficult childhood and had to break through many barriers to reach the top.

Ronaldo grew up as the youngest of four children (brother and two sisters) in Santo Antonio, not one of the good neighborhoods of Ponshall. His parents worked hard to support the family who lived in a dilapidated hut. His mother cleaned houses and worked as a cook, and his father was a gardener. The father was also an alcoholic, a condition that influenced and hardened the family life in the actor's childhood.

Football was his life as a child, as he told himself. He played from morning to evening, and he would lie to his mother who did not get homework so he could go outside. His first group, Andorinia, came through his father, who served as her quartermaster. Ronaldo arrived at the club at the age of eight - and almost instantly it turned out to be a huge talent. He played there for two years, moved to another team on the island of Madeira - Nacional - and at the age of 11 was spotted by the scouts of Sporting Lisbon, who made sure to make him a club player.

Ronaldo testified that the start in Lisbon was difficult. He had come to a new place as a child from a remote area, and the other actors were bothering him. Coping was not only with different training level and other opponents, but also with a significant change in life. But Ronaldo knew that his future lay there, and was constantly impressed as he progressed and developed in the Sporting Academy.

There another obstacle came. At the age of 15 it became clear that young Ronaldo was suffering from irregular heartbeat. The fear was that he would have to give up football, but he had an operation in his heart to fix the problem and returned to play after a few days.

The rest are familiar. Ronaldo went up to the 17-year-olds and in his first game he scored a pair. At the age of 18 Manchester United had already paid him 15 million euros, and in 2009 he became the most valuable player of all time (until Gareth Bale), when Real Madrid paid him 94 million euros. Since moving to Real, Ronaldo has won three Champions League titles, and countless other titles and achievements. The highlight of Ronaldo's glorious career was last year when he led Portugal to a historic and exciting win in Euro 2016. At the moment, there seems to be no one to stop him.

Great example of overcoming obstacles. Obstacles are inevitable!
