Downhill - means a hard ride down! Is this an expensive sport? (ENG)

What is downhill?
-Downhill is one of the most extreme varieties of cycling.

What is this sport about?
-Downhill relies on the fastest route. However, it is not so easy on the route you can meet many stones, hops or even roots.

Is downhill an expensive sport?
-Professional downhill is an expensive sport. A new bike for such a discipline costs 10,000 PLN. But you can get a used bike from about 3500PLN. For this you need to add the costs of protectors and helmet.

What brands produce the best downhill frames?
-Ns bikes, specialized, trek, s-works. These are better brands

What are the features of downhill bikes?
-They have a big jump suspension. (200mm or even more)!

Is it possible to assemble such a bike yourself?
-Yup, its possible.

Which protectors are used for this sport?
-A full face helmet, and a buzzer. These are the 2 basic protectors without which it is not recommended to start.

What is the cost of these protectors?
-The price of the helmet starts around 500 PLN, but they are much more expensive. And the cost of a buzzer is also about 600 PLN or more.

So you can say that it is not a cheap sport to start.

Who organizes the best downhill competitions?
-I think redbull do the best competitions.

Is it possible to build downhill routes by yourself?
-It would be possible to build something, but it will take a lot of time for it. To build such a route, you need a good place.

The best representative of gravity cycling?
-In my opinion, it is Szymon Godziek. He became famous because he made a backflip on a road bike over the tour de pologne. He did a lot of tricks for the first time, for example backflip superman one hand seatgrab. He ride for ns bikes.
