Allison: Is he really worth £67 million?

Well yes if you are to believe the words of his former goalkeeper coach at Roma, Roberto Negrisolo who has dubbed him the "Messi of goalkeepers"

The Brazil No1, who joined the academy of Brazilian club Internacional aged ten, has slowly but surely gained an increasing amount of admirers since his move to Roma in 2016. Although started as a backup to former Arsenal keeper Szczęsny, the Polish keepers transfer to Juventus allowed Allison to assume postion of Roma's undisputed No1.

He played brilliantly in the 2017/2018 season and is due a large amount of credit for nullifying Barcelona in the second leg of their semi final Champions League match. He also played a pivotal role in Roma coming third in the league.

He most certainly is a modern, ball-playing keeper, the only keeper who completed more passes in Europes top five leagues(Spain, England, Germany, Italy and France) is the Mbappe of goalkeeping: AC Milan's Donnarumma. The only two keepers to make more saves were Oblak(Athletico Madrid) and David de Gea. Consider that their estimated transfer value, as per transfermarkt.com, is £63 and £67 million respectively.

Liverpool had to face facts. After Karius's horror show in Champions League final last year, they needed someone who could bring stability at the back. And while £67 million pounds is a lot of money to spend on a goalkeeper, the calmness that Allison will radiate to Liverpools often shaky defense will be invaluable. With Egyptian wizard Salah firing on all cylinders, Liverpool's first Premier League title of the modern era is a serious possibility for the 2018/2019 season.
