Manchester City coach Pep Guardiola is also concerned about Ole Gunnar Solskjaer being sacked by Manchester United. Guardiola is honored to have faced Solskjaer.

Solskjaer was sacked by Manchester United after a humiliating 1-4 defeat to Watford in the Premier League match last weekend.

Under Solskjaer's tutelage, Manchester United have slipped to seventh in the Premier League standings.

Several managers in the Premier League have sympathized with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. One of them came from the manager of 'neighbors' alias Manchester City, namely Pep Guardiola.

"I wish him the best. It's an honor to face him," he told the media as reported by the BBC.

"You know, when a manager coaches a team as big as Manchester United, Man City, Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool, that manager has to win. Otherwise, he wouldn't be sitting here," he continued.

Guardiola also praised Solskjaer. He said he was often beaten by Solskjaer.

"He beats me a lot, you know that," he said.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has won four of his nine meetings with Pep Guardiola in all competitions. That is one of the best ratios among other managers who have faced the Spaniard at least five times.
