'Giroud tasted caviar, then you do not want to go back to the baked eggs'

in #sport7 years ago

René Girard wondered if Olivier Giroud sees a return to ligue 1.
The pair worked successfully together at Montpellier, Giroud became that season top scorer and champion in 2012. He left the league after that season to Arsenal and is now linked to several clubs from the Ligue 1.

Over the past few months, Giroud's name came to Olympique Marseille, AS Monaco and Olympique Lyon. At the presentation of Bertrand Traoré, Lyon chairman Jean-Michel Aulas told that the 64-fold international of France is no longer coming. Giroud, is also linked to West Ham United His contract in the Emirates Staidum continues for another two seasons.

The clubless coach Girard thinks Giroud feels in place in England. "If you've tasted a caviar, it's hard to go back to baked eggs. Even the smallest English clubs can offer him a big salary," he says at Maxifoot. "In addition, he fits in the league. He has played excellently in England and it is difficult at human level to return to France. Strange enough, his achievements are not recognized here."

If finishing fifth in the Premier League tastes like caviar, I would have a doctor check my palate. :))

Arsenal should keep Giroud. He has qualities none of our other strikers have. He can hold the ball up and is excellent in the air.
