2017 PDGA Pro World Championships - Round 3 Updates

in #sports8 years ago

Round 3 of the 2017 PDGA Pro World Championships in Augusta, Georgia is in the bag and it is no longer a close race. The big story out of round 3 is definitely Ricky Wysocki, who managed to shoot a lights out round, going -13 down on the W.R. Jackson Memorial Course! After his hot -12 down round yesterday in round 2, this move on day 3 has put Ricky solidly in first place with an 8 stroke lead on 2nd place place Adam Hammes who shot -10 down for the day.

Unfortunately, Johne McCray wasn't able to keep the momentum going after his amazing first round and ended round 3 shooting -4 down to put him tied for 3rd with Simon Lizotte, both sitting at -24 down for the tournament.

Rounding out the top 8 is Chris Dickerson and Paul McBeth, both sitting at -22 down, Devan Owens at -21 down, and Nate Doss at -20 down.

Tomorrow is the final round of the 2017 world championships and the players will once again be back on the Marine/Navy course at Fort Gordon to finish up the event. I will be on site at the event tomorrow and will have some live updates, photos and video to share with you all for the final day of the event, so stay tuned!

Even though Ricky Wysocki is 8 strokes ahead, there's still a full round left to play, so anything can happen; however, at this point, it seems highly likely that Ricky will be able to successfully defend his world champion title and bring home back-to-back wins.

Stay tuned for more coverage of the 2017 PDGA World Championships and remember to upvote and subscribe for more disc golf coverage and thanks for reading!

Great post my man! Haven't seen anything in awhile and hope you are still putting these out!)
SIdenote, I'm cleaning up who I'm following and limiting it to those creating adult social sports leagues material (darts, pool, bocce, disc golf, stuff like what this post is about).
I'm resteeming these creators and I just added you.I'm not asking for a follow you/follow me. I'm only interested in following/followers who are actually engaged in this subject and these sports. Articles/Posts on how-to practice, to tournament reporting, to playing and everything in between...
If you get the chance, check out some of my stuff @swansed . If you like it, consider maybe doing the same thing. As a group, we can resteem each others content, and slowly grow an audience with actual interest in what we put out instead of the random 'follow for follow' crowd which won't give any of our future articles a second glance...(let's be honest, that's where the frustration comes in)

Look it's a bitch getting noticed here unless you are posting general content or fluff. Let's build momentum with these niche sports and find the audience we came here to find!

Also, looking to do some Facebook and reddit recruiting campaigns in their niche groups to pull in some new eyes from other social media outlets. There's a chance we could try this as a group also and bring in some new eyes to look at what we are cooking up....
The more contributors we bring in, the louder our voices...
Regards
