PDGA 2017 Pro World Championships - Round 2

in #sports8 years ago

Round 2 of the PDGA Pro World Championships is coming to a close and the action is really heating up in Augusta, Georgia! Today, the A pool of the MPO played on the Marine/Navy course at Fort Gordon, and the B pool played on the W.R. Jackson Memorial Course at the IDGC. The weather managed to hold off, with the storms staying West and North of Augusta. Here's how the scores are looking for the A pool right now:

The big move of the day came from defending world champion Ricky Wysocki, who managed to shoot an amazing -12 down to bring him tied for first place with Johne McCray, both sitting at -20 down total. Ricky shot a bogey-free round today, and Johne's sole bogey on hole 16 was the only mistake he had today, but as you can see, one mistake is all it takes when you are playing in a field full of the world's best disc golfers.

Just behind Wysocki and McCray is Devan Owens who holds third place alone, shooting a -9 down round today to bring him to -17 total.

Rounding out the top 8 leaderboard is Adam Hammes, Cameron Colglazier, Simon Lizotte, Paul McBeth, and Eagle McMahon, who are all currently sitting at -16 total for their two rounds.

With only three strokes separating first and third place, and with currently six other players only a couple of strokes behind that, this year's world championships is looking like it will come down to the wire!
