Here are the results from last week’s contest for the FedEx St. Jude Classic.

Steemit Scramble Results – St. Jude Classic

Daniel Berger successfully defended his title at the St. Jude Classic this past weekend. Berger shot a -10 and edged out both Charl Schwartzel and Whee Kim by one stroke for the victory. This was Berger’s first victory of the 2017 season and only his second victory on the PGA Tour – both at the St. Jude Classic. With his win on Sunday, Berger moved into 10th place in this season’s FedEx Cup standings.

These are the results of this week’s Steemit Scramble:

All three contestants were able to double their golfer point totals, and in the case of @lydon.sipe, he was able to pile up 45 points due to picking the tournament winner and also receiving the 5-point bonus for a unique golfer combination.

The total pot for the weekly contest was 83 SBD. The 1st place contestant received 41.5 SBD, and the 2nd place contestants each received 20.75 SBD. Here is the proof of payout:

Player Selections and Multiplier

For the weekly Steemit Scramble, select three golfers from the tournament field that you believe will perform well and finish highest in the final standings. Based on the final results of the tournament, golfers will be assigned the following points:

ResultsPoints Awarded
1st place12
2nd – 5th7
6th – 15th4
16th – 30th2
31st - final cut1

THIS WEEK’S 2x MULTIPLIER: Pick the number of golfers finishing under par for the tournament. The closest participant(s) to the multiplier statistic will earn DOUBLE their total points for the week.

AN ADDITIONAL 5-POINT BONUS will be awarded to all unique golfer combinations. The bonus will be added to the contestants’ point totals AFTER the multiplier has been calculated. If two or more contestants choose the same golfers for the contest, then the contestant who entered their selections first will receive the bonus. Contestants that do not select a unique golfer combination will also be ineligible for the multiplier bonus.

How to Play and Win

  1. In a comment on this post, submit your three golfers and your prediction for the weekly multiplier. ONLY ONE COMMENT SUBMISSION PER USER, PER WEEKLY CONTEST.

  2. Submissions will be confirmed at the start of the weekly tournament. ALL CONTEST SUBMISSIONS MUST BE ENTERED PRIOR TO THE SCHEDULED START TIME AT THE FIRST TEE ON THE OPENING DAY OF THE TOURNAMENT. Late submissions and any edits after that time will be automatically disqualified from the weekly contest.

  3. There will be three winners each week. The winners will be the contestants with the most points gained, based on the points distribution outlined in Player Selections and Multiplier. All point totals earned from all contestants will carry over for the monthly and season-long contests.

  4. The contest is funded with a minimum pot of 10 SBD. The total weekly pot distribution will be divided as follows:

PlaceRewards Percentage
1st50%
2nd30%
3rd20%

In the event of a tie, the pot will be split between the tying contestants. If the tie occurs for third place, then all tying contestants will split the 20% payout. If the tie occurs in first or second place, then the tying contestants will split the total payout for those places.

Example: A two-way tie for first place will split 80% of the pot (50% + 30%) and third place will receive the remaining 20%. A three-way tie for second place will split 50% of the pot (30% + 20%) and first place will receive the allotted 50%.
