MAYWEATHER/McGREGOR: MY FORECAST!steemCreated with Sketch.

Hi Steemians!

I must say that I find myself more and more excited by the upcoming Mayweather/McGregor fight.

I love both fighters and never dreamed of such an event. It is straight out of the box thinking at the same time that it has been in some sports bar debates for ever: Who from boxing or the MMA will prevail in a ring? Which fighting technique is superior?

Now, granted, we can't really say that Mayweather and McGregor will be fighting on equal ground. It is not an event where two different fighting disciplines will be expressed in the same ring. It is rather an MMA top athlete having to format his style in order to fit in a boxing ring against another athlete who has excelled in it for years.
Boxing is a more limited format in terms of rules and regulations and does not allow an all out expression like the Mixed Martial Arts do, so Mcgregor could be at a disadvantage and , rightly so, feel some big frustration.

However, as I followed some of the videos depicting the behind the scenes leading to that amazing event on Aug 26th in Las Vegas, I couldn't help but to feel that Conor McGregor will win!

I am by no means any expert in the field, and as I understand even the experts find themselves challenged in their forecasts. But I got a sense that McGregor is the hungriest of the two.

Mayweather is coming out of his "retirement" for the paycheck, but to McGregor, the fight has more meaning than the financial reward as big as it is; it's about him making history!
No matter what, the event is the first of a kind but a victory by McGregor would change the whole landscape and having a MEANING is the most important weapon for the mindset.

Through the videos, I also got a sense that Mayweather didn't have his mind totally focused on the fight. He seems to be distracted by an ever present entourage and scattered in leisurely activities and social events.
On the other side, all I could see from McGregor was a man on a mission to win; the guy drives his Lambo in training shorts, for God's sake!
Now, images of what we are allowed to see could be part of a "war of perception" propaganda that the two camps are playing at each other and on us.
But my money is definitely set on McGregor.

LITERALLY!!!

Yes, I will be placing a bet on him thanks to a friend going to Vegas for the event.

So, GO MCGREGOR from now on, I guess:) !!!!
